Intermediate Workshops

Our Intermediate Painting Classes are designed for artists who have already mastered the basics and are ready to refine their skills, explore new techniques, and develop their unique style. Students will dive deeper into advanced color mixing, dynamic compositions, and textural effects, while also experimenting with a wider range of subjects — from landscapes and still life to abstract and portrait work. Lessons emphasize creative problem-solving, personal expression, and the ability to bring more depth, realism, or emotion into your art. You’ll learn to plan and execute more complex projects, use layering and blending techniques with greater precision, and incorporate mixed media for richer results. Individualized feedback helps each student strengthen their strengths and overcome challenges, ensuring steady growth. Materials are provided, but students are welcome to bring their own preferred tools.
